Meeting new people and feeling and listening as we come together can be extremely intimidating, especially when the nature of the group is to share and explore the nature of our creativity. The first meeting of any sister i season focuses on introducing new members into the circle and setting the agenda for the season. If the circle is new, then getting to know one another and reviewing the sister i materials may be the entire focus for the circle. It is important that the group begin the sharing process by stating your intentions for being in the group and setting your creative goals for the season.
It is equally important that you review the seasons guide and fill in most of your calendar, making sure that each member knows that the following meeting’s jewel boxSM will be the workshop and will involve bringing materials.
Anticipate that the new members will be eager and happy to help the first meeting get off to a great start. Together you are initiating the building of relationships that will grow into communities that will foster and celebrate the creative spirit of women. Your roles are to be honored as you are speaking for women in every community around the world.
