It is recommended that two or more women share the responsibilities for starting a sister i circle. Collaborating and sharing ideas with a friend will make the forming of your sister i circle fun and more enjoyable, and the gathering and informing process will be much less intimidating.

Neither starter sister needs to have experience in leading a group, however, each of you may want to highlight your unique skills that will help make the process of forming a sister i circle a balanced effort. Two or more starter sisters involved in starting a sister i circle mean at least double the contacts and resources you will have to draw and gather from.

Your comprehension of the sister i community will be necessary to communicate the essence of sister i in a way that expresses an honest enthusiasm, which will feed and inspire interested women. When the circle initially comes together you will be looked upon as mentors and your knowledge of the sister i circle elements will guide and comfort the new members. Joining your efforts will then begin the process of transforming the circle into a co-facilitated group, where each member is responsible for maintaining the aim of the circle. Making the venture a joint effort will also enable each starter sister more time for her own personal and creative goals.
