notes:

"A totem is a special kind of emblem or symbol that expresses the essential spirit nature and characteristics not of an individual animal or plant or rock but of the species as a whole and as expressed in the human condition."
— Kenneth Meadows, Earth Medicine: A Shamanic Way to Self Discovery

The mother i summer totem stick is an expression and symbol of your energy and creative force during summer. To create your totem stick, utilize the suggested materials list below. Focus on the abstract qualities of your creative spirit and connect them with the season — portraying a self-portrait of your creative spirit. If you've been maintaining a
junk box you probably have many of the materials suggested below — if not now would be a great time to start one. You may also wish to share and trade materials with other moms in your circle. Make sure to save some time at the end of the meeting's workshop for short discussion and photographing your creations.
