As the seasons change so will the content of each jewel box SM, but the basic format will remain the same for every season. For example, the second meeting’s jewel box will always be a workshop, but the workshop itself will be new each season. The sister i seasons guide will inform you of the necessary details needed for each jewel box. The seasonal format is broken into six unique jewel boxes:

1. opening season The circle sets the agenda for the season by completing the sister i calendar and reviewing the contents of the season guide. Circle members define and express their personal creative goals for the season using the action plan provided.

2. workshop* A hands-on project that allows for creative problem solving. Directions are usually basic, which creates a window for the sharing of ideas and materials. Mothers are encouraged to be spontaneous and explore a variety of mediums. This is also an opportune time for members to engage in open conversations about other aspects of their daily lives.

3. creative inventory The seasons guide provides a creative inventory list, with questions that engage members in deep, self-discovery discussions. This is a time for opening up the deeper level of our creative being and recognizing our own unique talents and abilities. Adding your own creative inventory questions is encouraged.

4. revisiting exercise This exercise invites the circle to share their individual creative pursuits through a question and answer discussion forum. Each season a few members volunteer to show and describe
examples of their creativity and ask the circle for support and encouragement.

5. reflective conversation Discussing works of art, cultures, music and literature, and engaging in reflective conversation. By exploring works others have created, we awaken the unconscious and develop powers of connection and self-reflection. Follow the theme found in the seasons guide using the suggested materials list or share your own.

6. closing season Sharing individual creative accomplishments and bringing closure to the season by exploring our creative environment and culture. Celebrations are highly recommended. Refer to seasons guide for theme and suggestions.

The workshops and revisiting exercise directions are sometimes intentionally vague to encourage spontaneity and experimentation with a variety of traditional and nontraditional materials and methods.
